Life in Bristol
Bristol is the happiest city in England, or at least that’s what its residents say. As cosmopolitan and multicultural as London, it offers a wide variety of lifestyles, gastronomy, and culture.
In addition to being a vibrant and colorful city, it is famous for being the home of hot air balloons, as the largest factories for these devices are located here. It also hosts an annual festival dedicated to them, the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta.
It is one of the warmer and less rainy cities in the UK, as it is situated in the southwest of the country.
The rental prices in Bristol are somewhat high, but salaries are also generous. With an unemployment rate of only 4%, you shouldn’t have significant difficulties finding work.
Bristol offers a diverse range of leisure and cultural activities, museums, and urban art. It was also named the UK’s European City of Sport in 2017.
The primary mode of public transportation is the bus, but you can also get around by bicycle, as the city is bike-friendly.
