Study in Sliema

Sliema is one of the favorite cities in Malta among young students because it has a youthful atmosphere and a plethora of restaurants and shopping centers.

It boasts two beautiful promenades and the Independence Garden, which is a lovely natural park located in the urban area.

Its beaches tend to be quite crowded, especially in the summer, and if you enjoy diving, you’ll find good diving schools in Sliema.

It’s a very beautiful city, more affordable than other cities in Malta, and somewhat quieter than its counterpart, St. Julians.

Life in Sliema

Sliema is a small city where you can easily get around on foot or by bike.

It is well connected to other cities like Valletta by ferry, and it takes very little time to get there because they are all very close.

Recommendations before traveling to Malta

Our main recommendation if you want to come to study and work in Malta for a while is to plan your trip in advance, look for good accommodation to live in, and let us help you find the best English course for you.

And if you’re going to drive in Malta, keep in mind that they drive on the left side of the road instead of the right.

That being said, living in Malta is quite different depending on whether you are a European citizen or not.

If you don’t hold nationality in any of the EU member countries, you should be aware that you won’t be able to obtain your ID Card or work until 3 months have passed since your arrival in Malta. So, you’ll need enough money to sustain yourself during this time.

Additionally, you are required to have travel health insurance when you come, which is a mandatory requirement for processing your student visa.
